• Field of Dreams FAQ

Why did you postpone Field of Dreams?

Due to the current number of omicron cases, we have made the decision out of an abundance of caution to host the event in person March 31 instead of the initial February 24 date. Hopefully the additional month will allow the case numbers to decrease more and allow guests to feel more comfortable in a group setting.

What will Field of Dreams look like this year?

Our event planning committee is working hard to ensure that our guests have a great evening at the event while still keeping everyone safe and healthy. We will continue to listen to recommendations from health experts as well as the Intercontinental as we finalize plans. The event may look a little different than it has in the past but will still feature a live presentation, silent auction, dinner and drinks. Please see below for more information on safety precautions and vaccination.

What is your COVID protocol?

Girls in the Game is monitoring the CDC and City of Chicago Public Health Department’s guidelines and will adjust rules and guidelines as necessary.

What are the rules on vaccination?

All guests who attend Field of Dreams must either provide proof of vaccination in advance of the event date based on requirements from the Intercontinental. Table hosts will provide detailed information on each guests’ vaccination status  in early March. Clearance will not be given on-site at the event and must be provided in advance. If you have questions, contact Dawn Kobel for more details.

Are you requiring masks?

Yes. Based on current city of Chicago rules, masks will be required at the event. Masks may be removed if you are actively eating or drinking.
